COVID-19 INFORMATION, Brynamman Public Hall Cinema
Alert Level 0 Changes
From 07/08/21, in line with the easing of restrictions across Wales, several of our previously implemented rules and guidelines have been altered. We have conducted a full COVID-19 Alert Level 0 Risk Assessment and have built our guidelines to ensure the safest possible environment for our customers and team members. The information on this page describes our new guidance and rules.
We will continue to regularly sanitise all points of contact between every screening and we would like to reassure you all that our strict cleaning routine will be kept in place.
We greatly look forward to welcoming even more of you back to the cinema over the coming months.
Seating & Booking Information
We are no longer seating customers based on a socially distanced seating plan. You now have the freedom to sit exactly where you wish in our open, non-allocated seated auditorium, just as you did before the pandemic. In replacement, to ensure the continued safety of our audiences, we have introduced a capped capacity of 50%. This means that only 50% of the seats can be sold for any one screening, allowing us to keep numbers under control and to avoid unnecessary congestion.
Online booking is not essential for Screen 1, but we do still recommend booking online to guarantee your seats as things can fill up quickly during busy days and times.
We are no longer seating customers based on a socially distanced seating plan. You now have the freedom to sit exactly where you wish in our open, non-allocated seated auditorium, just as you did before the pandemic. In replacement, to ensure the continued safety of our audiences, we have introduced a capped capacity of approximately 70%. This means that only 70% of the seats can be sold for any one screening, allowing us to keep numbers under control and to avoid unnecessary congestion. We will be encouraging customers to leave a sensible distance when choosing seats where possible.
Online booking is still strongly advised for all Screen 2 films, as seating is still very limited and tickets sell out quickly.
The shop is open and selling the majority of our usual stock. We have relaxed the '1 in / 1 out' system and replaced it with a '2 families at a time' system. Our staff will be on duty to assist.
One Way System
We have retained the one way system in the building. At the end of each film, you will be guided to exit via the back doors of the auditorium. This gives us opportunity to clean and sanitise the foyer and shop area before the next screening.
We have slightly relaxed the system - you can now leave your seat to revisit the shop, and we are allowing multiple visits to the shop during the adverts, trailers and intermission. The shop will close when the feature film begins to allow for cleaning.
To ensure the safety of our team and our customers, we have a set of simple rules that must be followed.
When visiting the cinema, you must:
- Wear a face covering at all times when moving around the building (unless exempt). This includes entering, exiting, using the toilets, using the cinema shop and walking to your seats. You can remove your face covering once seated to enjoy the film, but you must wear it when you get up.
- Use the hand sanitiser station when entering the building.
- Provide your name and telephone number to comply with NHS Wales Test, Trace, Protect.
- Follow any signage or directions present in the building.
- Keep to the marked 1 way system, exiting the building through the marked exit once the film has finished.
- Be mindful and keep a sensible distance when choosing seats.
