Brynamman Cinema

COVID-19  Information

We're very excited to be reopening on Friday August 7th. This date is an achievable goal for us as we feel that general preparation is going well, and we're progressing nicely with the introduction of safety measures and adaptations around the building.

When you next visit the cinema, a few things will be different that we'd like you all to be aware of. Everything on the list below is a necessary change, either for safety reasons, or for the sustainable operation of our business during these tough times.

As things gradually get back to normal, we'll work in accordance with government guidelines to adapt and ease restrictions around the venue when we're allowed to do so, and when we deem that it's safe for both our staff and customers. This page will be regularly updated to reflect any changes. We also look forward to reintroducing facilities, services and offers that may not be available when we reopen.

List of services & facilities that will not be immediately available when we reopen:

  • Silver Screen Presentations

  • Parent & Baby Screenings

  • Wednesday Double Deal

  • Monday £4 Deal

  • Telephone booking

  • Telephone reservations

  • Time Credit Scheme

  • Any free vouchers, tickets or coupons

  • Public screenings in Studio Screen 2

  • Snooker

  • Live events

List of services & facilities that will be immediately available when we reopen:

  • Public screenings in Screen 1

  • Private group bookings in Studio Screen 2

  • The cinema shop (reduced stock)

  • Online booking, card payment facility and cash accepted

  • £16 family tickets & £4 child tickets

  • £4 senior citizen tickets

  • Cinema loyalty card scheme

  • Toilets

While we're still accepting cash, we are encouraging as many customers as possible to book online or pay with card. Screen 1 will have a massively reduced seating capacity due to 2m social distancing. The allocated seating has been updated within our online booking system to reflect this, and we've decided to postpone telephone bookings and reservations to minimise any overbooking issues that may occur.

Rules for your safety. When visiting the cinema, you must:

  • Socially distance when queuing

  • Use the hand sanitiser provided upon entry

  • Socially distance when making your way into the auditorium

  • Be seated by our staff in accordance with 2m social distancing

  • Follow any signage or directions present in the building

  • Keep to the marked 1 way system

  • Be mindful and respectful of other customers and staff

  • Leave via the marked exits and use the hand sanitiser provided when exiting

  • Keep socially distanced when exiting and leaving the premises

We will have an extra presence of staff at the cinema to help you. Staff will be trained to guide customers into the auditorium and seat customers according to 2m social distancing. Staff will also be monitoring the auditorium and toilets throughout the film.

Staff will be wearing full PPE.

In the coming weeks, we will be releasing more information about our adaptations and 1 way system, to give you a heads up before visiting. Pictures will be available on this page. The system is very straightforward and staff will be available to assist you.
